IS420UCSBH3A is a UCSB controller module in the GE Mark VIe series. As an independent computer, it runs control applications and is one of the core components of the entire control system. This module is mainly used to manage the control logic of gas turbines or steam turbines and achieve automated control of equipment.
This module is equipped with a 1200 MHz Intel EP80579 quad core processor, pre installed with application software, running on the QNX Neutrino operating system to ensure real-time, high-speed, and reliable operation. It communicates with the I/O pack through the onboard IONet interface and supports GE Mark control system I/O modules and controllers. Compared with early Speedtronic control systems, IS420UCSBH3A adopts a different interface design, abandoning backplane connectors and using onboard I/O network connectors instead.
The IS420UCSBH3A module has multiple advantages: single module design, built-in power supply, no need for jumper settings, no need for batteries (when paired with UCSBH4A, UCSBH1A, and UCSBS1A), and dual redundant fans when paired with UCSBH3A. These characteristics make it more flexible and reliable in industrial applications. The front panel of the module is equipped with various LED indicator lights to indicate the status of the controller, such as over temperature (OT), recovery process (ON), direct current power (DC), online operation (ONL), etc., for easy on-site monitoring and maintenance.
