The ABB DX522 is a compact mixed digital input and output module belonging to the ABB S500 I/O system, perfectly compatible with AC500 series PLC CPUs such as PM5630-2ETH. It integrates 8 channels of 24VDC digital sinking inputs and 8 channels of mechanical relay outputs in one single module, realizing field signal collection and load driving simultaneously. All input circuits adopt module-level galvanic isolation to effectively block interference from field power loops. The relay output supports direct driving of AC 230V loads, which greatly simplifies peripheral intermediate relay wiring. Equipped with independent LED status indicators for each channel and system fault alarm lights, DX522 enables intuitive on-site troubleshooting. It adopts hot-swappable design with separate terminal base, allowing module replacement without rewiring field cables, reducing equipment downtime during maintenance and system expansion for small and medium automation control systems.
