The IS420ESWBH1A is the second-generation dedicated unmanaged IONet Ethernet switch independently developed by GE for Mark VIe turbine control and critical power generation DCS platforms. It solves prominent industrial communication pain points such as short transmission distance of copper cables, severe electromagnetic interference in power plant workshops, insufficient on-site device access ports, and unstable deterministic data exchange between controllers and remote I/O modules. With abundant 16-channel RJ45 electrical ports and one long-distance fiber uplink interface, the switch builds a stable backbone network for connecting Mark VIe controllers, analog/digital I/O packs, vibration monitoring modules, local HMI and upper-level SCADA servers. It is core network infrastructure widely deployed in steam/gas turbine units, compressor control systems, thermal power plants and petrochemical process safety control loops. As a proprietary network accessory for the GE Mark VIe ecosystem, it guarantees low-latency, jitter-free real-time control data transmission and enhances the overall safety and anti-interference performance of large rotating machinery protection systems.
