The NWRR85001 (NW-RR85-001) is a discontinued multi-fieldbus repeater and protocol conversion gateway, widely used as maintenance spare part for ABB old DCS platforms (PROCONTROL P13, Advant AC450, Symphony Plus).
In large-scale process control systems such as thermal power turbine control, petrochemical ESD safety interlock and pulp & paper production lines, it solves three core industry pain points:
- Protocol incompatibility between ABB DCS backplane bus and third-party field devices (frequency converters, intelligent valve positioners, remote RTU modules);
- Attenuation and distortion of fieldbus signals after ultra-long-distance wiring, resulting in communication packet loss and system fluctuation;
