The PT5-50M is a compact industrial pressure transmitter from Emerson PT5 series, engineered exclusively for pressure monitoring and closed-loop control in refrigeration, HVAC and heat pump systems. Calibrated for a 0–50bar measuring range, this sensor converts refrigerant line hydraulic pressure into standardized 4–20mA linear electrical signals, feeding real-time data to refrigeration controllers, PLCs and electronic expansion valve drive boards to implement superheat regulation, compressor load protection and system high/low pressure interlock protection.
Constructed with a stainless steel pressure sensing diaphragm and fully sealed metal housing, the unit features a 7/16”-20UNF process thread with built-in Schrader valve piercing pin for direct installation on refrigerant service ports without additional adapters. It eliminates measurement drift caused by refrigerant temperature fluctuation, oil contamination and minor pipeline vibration, stabilizing the automatic adjustment of EEV opening and preventing compressor shutdown triggered by false pressure alarms.
