Product Overview
The BVM PMC-CF2 is an industrial embedded mezzanine storage expansion card designed for rugged real-time control computers, featuring two independent CompactFlash slots on a single standard PMC module. It is the direct matching storage accessory for the TEWS TPMC917 series PMC cards you previously queried, widely deployed together in legacy turbomachinery governor systems, DCS/SIS safety control cabinets, offshore platform embedded data recorders and railway on-board vehicle control units.
CompactFlash serves as solid-state non-volatile storage with zero moving parts, far superior to mechanical hard drives in shock, vibration and temperature resistance. The dual-slot design enables flexible deployment modes: one slot for main operating system and application firmware, the second for fault event logs, runtime parameter databases, historical trend data and equipment cumulative operating counters; alternatively configured as primary/backup redundant storage for critical safety systems to avoid single storage point failure.
The hardware write lock function prevents accidental overwriting of core control program files during field maintenance. With passive cooling design and industrial-grade PCB assembly, it delivers long-term 24/7 unattended continuous operation in high-interference environments filled with inverters, high-current contactors and power harmonic noise. Although BVM has phased out this classic PMC storage product, it remains an indispensable spare part for maintaining a large number of legacy embedded industrial control platforms worldwide.
