Product Overview
The CE4022 (CD4022B) is a classic 4-stage Johnson counter IC with fully decoded 8-channel active-high outputs, belonging to the widely used CD4000 series CMOS logic family. It receives pulse clock signals, sequentializes internal flip-flop states, and activates only one corresponding output pin at each counting step to implement 8-step cyclic sequential switching without external decoding circuits. Three dedicated control pins simplify logic management:
- Clock: Rising-edge trigger pulse input with built-in Schmitt trigger to filter jitter and slow edge signals
- Master Reset: Active-high pin to force all outputs back to initial OFF state
- Clock Inhibit: Block clock pulses to freeze current counting position
