Product Overview
The AL129A is chopper‑type plug‑in power supply for legacy Alstom Alspa CE2000 and CE3000 DCS control racks. It converts wide‑range AC mains into stabilized isolated +5 V and +12 V DC to feed CPU boards, communication cards and I/O modules via FB178 rack backplane.
Parallel‑redundant deployment eliminates single‑point power failure for critical plant‑control racks. Comprehensive hardware protection prevents downstream electronic‑component damage under overload and short‑circuit conditions. Front‑panel status LEDs support quick on‑site commissioning and fault diagnosis. OEM production is discontinued; available units are mostly refurbished or new‑old‑stock spare‑parts for power‑plant and process‑plant legacy‑system overhaul and maintenance projects.
Application Notes
‑ Exclusively for Alspa CE2000 / CE3000 platform; verify hardware revision before spare‑part replacement. ‑ Hot‑swap replacement is permitted only for redundant‑power configured racks; cut AC input power for single‑supply racks before removal. ‑ Install inside well‑ventilated industrial cabinet; maintain proper airflow, avoid dust accumulation and condensation. ‑ Strictly observe ESD anti‑static handling rules during installation. ‑ Follow official Alstom parallel‑wiring guidelines when configuring redundant power‑supply operation. ‑ Typical deployment: gas‑turbine / steam‑turbine auxiliary control, pulp‑and‑paper process control, chemical‑plant legacy DCS spare‑part stocking and retrofits.
