The FC-GMMD16 is a dedicated FTA (Field Termination Assembly) terminal base board for Honeywell Safety Manager safety control system, the core wiring interface between the main digital input card and field on-site discrete switch signals.
It undertakes three core functions:
- Field Signal Wiring Termination: Centralized wiring for 16 sets of field limit switches, pressure switches, flame detectors, valve feedback, emergency stop buttons and other on/off digital points; spring lock terminals with built-in small fuses for single-channel independent overload protection.
- Signal Isolation & Filtering: Optical isolation design suppresses strong electromagnetic interference from power frequency inverters and high-voltage equipment in petrochemical plants, avoiding false triggering of safety logic caused by signal clutter.
- Full Channel Self-Diagnosis: Real-time monitors wire break, short circuit, fuse blown and module power failure, uploads fault diagnosis codes to the Safety Manager main controller for system alarm and record keeping.
