The SHC68-68-RMIO is a dedicated fully shielded signal cable designed exclusively for NI R Series Reconfigurable I/O (RIO) FPGA DAQ modules such as PXIe-7820, PXI-7831 and PCIe-7842R. It bridges the compact VHDCI high-density port on the RIO controller to standard 68-pin D-SUB terminal breakout blocks, routing multi-channel analog input/output, digital switching and high-speed counter signals between the FPGA hardware and external sensors, actuators and test fixtures.
It addresses critical signal integrity pain points in high-precision measurement and FPGA control systems, including unshielded cables introducing crosstalk and noise that distort low-voltage analog readings, mismatched pin assignment causing RIO FPGA resource mapping errors, fragile unprotected conductors failing under frequent cabinet routing, and incompatibility between VHDCI mini connectors and conventional SCSI terminal accessories.
