SM2337D is a compact integrated SmartMotor servo by MOOG Animatics, integrating servo motor, power amplifier, position controller and encoder within single unit, removing requirement for external servo drives.

It supports standalone operation by executing local motion programs written in SMI language without external PLC. It realizes point‑to‑point positioning, electronic gearing, cam profiling and multi‑axis synchronous linkage over RS485 multi‑drop bus. It can also work under step‑direction pulse mode for compatibility with third‑party controllers.
