Product Overview
The PHCBRC41000000 is the ABB BRC410 Harmony Bridge Controller, the highest-performance controller in the Symphony Plus HR Series distributed control system. Based on a 160 MHz 32-bit Freescale Coldfire processor with 2 MB of non-volatile user configuration memory, it executes up to 30,000 function blocks and supports closed-loop regulation for approximately 2,000 control loops. The BRC410 bridges the redundant INFI-Net control network to local and remote I/O subsystems, simultaneously supporting HR Series rack I/O, SD Series DIN-rail I/O, and S800 I/O without intermediate gateways. A dedicated 100 Mbps Ethernet port enables native Modbus TCP integration with third-party PLCs, intelligent electronic devices, and ABB 800xA systems, while PROFIBUS DP and HART interfaces connect intelligent field instruments directly. It provides downloadable firmware, flexible online configuration, and full backward compatibility with Network 90, INFI 90, and Harmony hardware, allowing legacy plants to upgrade controllers without replacing field wiring or control logic. Power-generation, water-treatment, and process-industry engineers use it for boiler, turbine, balance-of-plant, and batch control where high execution speed, redundancy, and long-term investment protection are critical.
