The EC401‑50 S3 is a single‑port ESB Bus Coupler Module built for Yokogawa CENTUM VP distributed control systems. It establishes high‑speed ESB bus links between Field Control Units (FCU) and remote node units, supporting both simplex and dual‑redundant bus configurations for critical process control environments.

This plug‑in coupler enables I/O capacity expansion for FIO‑type field control stations. It handles real‑time I/O data forwarding, bus segment coupling and system diagnostic reporting.
