Product Overview
The Emerson EPRO A6410 is a dual‑channel valve and case expansion monitor module designed for the AMS 6500 machinery health monitoring rack system. It acquires displacement signals from inductive contact‑type sensors and LVDT transducers to measure turbine case thermal expansion, valve stem position, differential expansion and mechanical deformation of critical turbo‑machinery components.
Each channel works independently or can compute combined differential values. The module executes continuous signal conditioning, alarm threshold comparison, self‑diagnostics for sensor faults, cable breakage, over‑range and hardware malfunctions. Front‑panel test points and rear buffered outputs support on‑site troubleshooting without interrupting running machinery protection. Configurable Alert / Danger alarm relays deliver status signals to DCS, SCADA or safety interlock systems. Password‑protected parameter setup is completed via AMS 6500 configuration software. This hot‑swappable single‑slot 3U card saves cabinet space for retrofits and new machinery‑protection builds.
